More about Pillar Box House

Gorgeous Pillar Box House is a large, detached and striking, three-storey pink house which oozes style and character. Perfect for groups of friends or a larger family or two, this delightful abode is located in the rural Norfolk village, yet in easy reach pubs, shops and the coast and beaches too.

Situated in the small, rural hamlet of Hackford which is mentioned in the Domesday Book, the neighbouring market towns of Wymondham and pretty Georgian village of Hingham are close by.

Named after the red post box in one of its walls, the character doesn’t stop there. With a commanding reception hall, inglenook fireplace, wooden floors and timbered beamed ceilings throughout, the property is beautifully furnished and styled to an exceptionally high standard.

From the moment you walk through the door you are in awe of the reception hall. With a spacious beamed sitting room and inglenook fireplace with open fire.

The kitchen and dining area are particularly spacious and well-equipped and perfect for entertaining and come with a wood burning stove, ideal for enjoying suppers with good friends or equally a quiet and cosy night in during the cooler months. With a stable door to the garden you can let the sunshine in when the temperature rises.
The beamed sitting room is a mix of period features and modern amenities, with an inglenook fireplace as well as Sky TV. There are two further televisions, one in the library snug and one in the luxury master suite, which occupies the entire second floor.
In all there are four bedrooms; the master king-size suite with en-suite shower room, two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom; there is a family bathroom too.

Outside the property has a private fully-enclosed garden and separate side garden with lawn. A hot tub in the garden is the ideal way to relax after a day spent exploring the area.
